NANNIES Professional nannies are individuals who have
chosen careers as primary caregivers to children. These caregivers
have varying degrees of training and experience. Professional nannies
may have the Canada Early Childhood Degree, British National Nursury
Exam Board training, or other certification from their country of
origin.
The responsibilities of professional nannies include meeting all
physical and emotional needs of the child, providing stimulating
educational activities, preparing meals, and making sure the child's
play and living quarters are tidy. Typically, professional nannies
are not responsible for general housekeeping.
Professional nannies are available on both live-in and live-out
bases. Salaries vary depending on level of education and work experience,
though a salary range from $1200 to $1600 net per month is typical
in the Greater Toronto Area. |
